VERONICA (VERNA) PACEY With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother Verna Pacey at Concordia Hospital on February 12, 2004. Verna was born March 10, 1913 in Russell, MB where she spent the greater part of her life before retiring to Winnipeg in 1977. Verna leaves to cherish her memory son Lucas (Joyce) daughter Gloria Murtagh (Sean) grandchildren, Mark (Carrie), Nicole Stasiuk (David), Paul Murtagh and Michele Muench (Douglas) great-grandchildren, Connor and Ethan Muench and Reid Stasiuk, many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Peter; grandson Kevin; brothers, Joe and Adolfe; sisters, Carrie, Julia and Anne. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, February 16 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 17 at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe at Brazier. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. If so desired donations in Vernas memory may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3. Special thanks to Concordia Place Care Centre staff for all their care and compassion to Verna during the past three years. Thank you to Dr. Regehr and staff at Concordia Hospital for her final care.
